I have two pairs of Brawlers, I like them that much! My first impression out of the box both times is one of pride and excellence demonstrated in both materials and workmanship. The leather is beautifully crafted and consistent in terms of both colour and finish and has, if anything, gotten better the more that I wear them. The shoes have worn in beautifully and are incredibly comfortable; so much so that I wear them all day. These are high quality shoes that I fully expect to wear for many years to come.

I get stopped all the time asking about these shoes, and honestly, I get it. Lennertson nailed the brief with The Brawler—it's a masterclass in classic European style with a sharp, modern attitude. By fusing rugged, workwear-inspired lines with smooth craftsmanship, it looks and feels fresh, bold, and classic without being stuffy. They’re my absolute go-to because they effortlessly flex from raw denim to dressed-up trousers without missing a beat.
These Brawlers are a real pleasure to wear. Rough yet modern. Rugged yet sophisticated. They match perfectly well with my waxed field jacked.
I can easily wear them with both a casual outfit and a business suit. They add a distinctive sense of style and character to every look, something I don't often get from more traditional dress shoes. They did take a little time to break in, but once they did, they became incredibly comfortable. They've quickly become one of my favorite pairs of shoes.
Top design. It’s been a long time since I wanted to buy this kind of classical shoes with round toes, not pointy ones. The pair matches what I expected to get.
The leather is superb. The last time when I felt this so natural so organic smell of genuine leather was maybe 30years ago. This justifies the high quality and a great craftsmanship applied to these shoes. The outlook is also perfect. You feel like a lord when you wear them.
The customer support is 200% helpful. Initially I ordered the shoes that were too big for me. Robin consulted me via WhatsApp regarding the right size and as an alternative he sent me two pairs to try out and choose my size.

I like the design
My friend and I went with our spouses to Gent to buy the brawler shoe from Lennertson in their own shop. That was a super experience. Advised by one of the owners for a full hour resulted us buying 3 pairs of Lennertson shoes. My black Brawlers are just excellent. They fit perfectly, are beautifull and well designed. bit also great handcraft all over the shoes. I wear them regurly at work or in free time

I've had my eye on a pair for a long time, specifically 'The Brawler'. After a lot of research and waiting, I finally bought them, and I honestly didn't expect the quality to be this high. What immediately stood out upon opening the box was the gorgeous color and shape. It truly is a case of 'what you see is what you get'. I'm absolutely thrilled with them, and now I've got my sights set on the black ones!
This is a solid, well constructed shoe. The welting is perfect and the materials used are high quality. I found the footbed comfortable out of the box. Considering the weight of the leather, the break-in time was minimal. The color is great. This is not a lightweight pair of shoes.

Het leer, de pasvorm en de constructie maken een schoen. Deze kenmerken en de fijne kleur trokken me aan in de Brawler. Ruig en verfijnd. Ik heb er tien dagen op gelopen tijdens een city trip naar Spanje en de schoenen hebben me niet teleurgesteld. Het verzenden had wat voeten in de aarde, maar Robin heeft alles tot een goed einde gebracht. Waarvoor dank.

We're a Belgian-Dutch company based in the North-Eastern Limburg area of Belgium. Here we do our everyday work like designing shoes and communicating with customers.
Lennertson is also made up of the countless people who contribute to our mission. Be it our lastmaker in England, our craftspeople in Spain and Portugal, or you who wears our shoes anywhere in the world.
We grew up in working-class families and greatly admire the men and women who make our footwear. Fair & safe labor conditions are essential to us. We produce locally within the European Union, where the highest standards of these laws and rights are applied. We choose to only collaborate with companies that share our values. Being close allows us to visit frequently and maintain a close relationship with all our partners.
We source our leather traditional tanneries in Europe. European tanneries are strictly regulated by the European Environmental Agency, resulting in far more environmentally friendly tanning practices than in many other parts of the world. We only use leathers that are a side-product of the meat industry.
As part of our design process, we’re always discovering unique leathers and tanneries.
Here are some we frequently work with: Boaventura (Portugal), Alaska (Italy), Oehler (Germany), Annonay (France), Dafar (Serbia), Sciarada (Italy), Puccini (Italy), and more.
Our rubber soles are made by local European, family-run businesses as well.
Regarding footwear sustainability, construction methods are equally important to sourcing. Our shoes are Goodyear welted, with stitched soles instead of glued. This results in far more sustainable shoes that will last you a very long time and are endlessly repairable.
This question isn't actually asked frequently because customers fall in love with our shoes from the moment they open the box.
Lennertson shoes and boots are made in a traditional and artisanal way.
The process involves a lot of handcraft, and when machines are used, it's always a person's hand guiding the shoe. As such, it's perfectly possible for you to see slight imperfections: two stitches that are not the exact same size, slight color variations, etc.
A computer makes things perfect. A human being makes things with passion, love, and charming imperfections. That's our view; we believe you'll share it.
