Deze laars is gemaakt van fijn suède met een superzachte textuur en voelt fluweelzacht aan. Opvallend kenmerk is de 'Biscotto': een rijke en smakelijke kleur die doet denken aan een goudbruine versgebakken cake.

Break-in Time

+/- 4 walking hours. With traditional Goodyear welt construction, softer rubber soles, and a laceless design in suede: these boots require some but relatively little break-in.

The Story Behind The Design

The simple pattern of this Chelsea boot highlights its handsome silhouette and warm, rich color.

Crafted from a fine suede with a super soft texture and velvety feel, this boot's standout feature is the 'Biscotto': a rich and tasty color—reminiscent of a golden-brown freshly baked cake.

FAQ

What last (shape & fit) is used for this pair?

THE PETER LAST

Rounded toe box, slightly increased width, medium arch support

Based on our standard 'Michael' last but specifically altered for a laceless boot design. With a slight trim of the leg for a better fit.

Besides looking beautiful, the shape fits very comfortably, as confirmed by all our customers—people of all heights, weights, and sizes.

Where is Lennertson located?

We're a Belgian-Dutch company based in the North-Eastern Limburg area of Belgium. Here we do our everyday work like designing shoes and communicating with customers.
Lennertson is also made up of the countless people who contribute to our mission. Be it our lastmaker in England, our craftspeople in Spain and Portugal, or you who wears our shoes anywhere in the world.

Ethical labor: What is Lennertson's policy?

We grew up in working-class families and greatly admire the men and women who make our footwear. Fair & safe labor conditions are essential to us. We produce locally within the European Union, where the highest standards of these laws and rights are applied. We choose to only collaborate with companies that share our values. Being close allows us to visit frequently and maintain a close relationship with all our partners.

Sustainable fashion: Where does Lennertson source materials?

We source our leather from time-honored tanneries in Europe. European tanneries are strictly regulated by the European Environmental Agency, resulting in far more environmentally friendly tanning practices than in many other parts of the world. We only use leathers that are a side-product of the meat industry.

Our rubber soles are made by local European, family-run businesses as well.

Regarding footwear sustainability, construction methods are equally important to sourcing. Our shoes are Goodyear welted, with stitched soles instead of glued. This results in far more sustainable shoes that will last you a very long time and are endlessly repairable.

'Handmade': Why are there imperfections in my shoes?

This question isn't actually asked frequently because customers fall in love with our shoes from the moment they open the box!

Lennertson shoes and boots are made in a traditional and artisanal way.

The process involves a lot of handcraft, and when machines are used, it's always a person's hand guiding the shoe. As such, it's perfectly possible for you to see slight imperfections: two stitches that are not the exact same size, slight color variations, etc.

A computer makes things perfect. A human makes things with passion, care, and unique character. That's how we see it, and we believe you will too.

We also choose to work with 'natural leathers'—uncorrected grain that isn't overly processed or coated. Its surface structure should not be perfectly uniform; but may include natural blemishes and marks reflecting its origins. Our leathers look and feel authentic because they are—made from an animal's skin.
